Allergy Aware & Scent Free

Allergy Aware

A few students at École West Park School have severe and/or life-threatening allergies. When someone has a severe and/or life-threatening allergy, they can experience an anaphylactic reaction when exposed to the allergen. An anaphylactic reaction causes a person's throat to swell to the point that they may stop breathing. People with this type of allergy always need to have access to an Epi-Pen.

Scent Free

In addition to allergies we have some students and adults that react to strong scents and perfumes. These reactions are mostly in the form of severe headaches, such as migraines and may also trigger an asthmatic attack.

Please keep this in mind for your children and yourself when you are coming to the school to visit or volunteer.

Thank you for your help in making our school a safe and healthy learning and working environment for all of our students and staff.
